Commissioner General Orders Swift Investigation in Nong Angun Case

Sangkhlaburi: The Commissioner General of Police is closely following the "Nong Angun" case and has ordered an expedited investigation to explore all aspects of the case. The Commissioner General of Police visited Sangkhlaburi Police Station to follow up on the "Nong Angun" case, ordering a swift and comprehensive investigation. A clearer picture is expected soon.

According to Thai News Agency, Police General Kittirat Phanphet, Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police, along with Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwphan, Deputy Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police, visited Sangkhlaburi Police Station in Kanchanaburi Province to follow up on the progress of the case involving the death of "Nong Angun," a 7-year-old girl who went missing from her home for three days before being found dead under a bamboo clump in a rubber plantation in Sangkhlaburi District on June 1, 2026.

It is initially believed that Nong Angun died sometime in the afternoon or evening of May 30, 2026. The police and relevant agencies have been instructed to work closely together, expedite forensic examination, witness testimonies, and technical investigations. Forensic results are currently pending and will be used to aid in the investigation. A clearer picture is expected soon.
