Concrete Slab Falls from Truck, Crushes Sedan in Lat Krabang

Lat Krabang: A concrete slab fell from a truck and crushed a sedan, injuring the driver. A large concrete slab fell from a truck and crushed a sedan passing by, completely destroying it at the entrance of Soi Lat Krabang 54. Fortunately, the driver sustained only minor injuries.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred last midnight at the entrance of Soi Lat Krabang 54 in the Lat Krabang Subdistrict, heading towards the Suvarnabhumi Airport intersection, which is under construction for the On Nut-Lat Krabang elevated road. The concrete slab, intended for placement on the elevated bridge in the area, fell on the driver’s side of a white car, completely destroying the vehicle. The occupants of the car suffered only slight injuries and managed to exit the vehicle safely.

The concrete slabs were being transported on a truck for the construction of the elevated road. During the incident, workers were in the process of unloading the slabs when one fell onto the passing car. The On Nut-Lat Krabang elevated road previously collapsed in July 2013, resulting in 18 deaths and injuries.
