Bangkok: Northern Thailand remains cold, while central Thailand's temperatures have dropped by 1-2 degrees Celsius.
According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department reports cool to cold weather in upper Thailand, with temperatures in central Thailand dropping by another 1-2 degrees Celsius. Southern Thailand will experience scattered thunderstorms.
The Meteorological Department reports that upper Thailand is experiencing cool to cold weather. Central Thailand, including Bangkok and its surrounding areas, will see a further temperature drop of 1-2 degrees Celsius due to a relatively strong high-pressure system or cold air mass from China spreading over upper Thailand. The public is advised to take care of their health due to the changing and colder weather conditions.
For the southern region, scattered thunderstorms are expected due to a moderate northeast monsoon covering the Gulf of Thailand, the southern region, and the Andaman Sea. Wave conditions in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are moderate, with waves approximately 2 meters high in the lower Gulf of Thailand and 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf of Thailand and offshore the Andaman Sea. Wave heights may exceed 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms. Mariners are advised to exercise caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
Currently, air pollution/haze levels in upper Thailand are low to moderate due to good ventilation and strong winds.
