Bangkok: The Criminal Court has granted bail to Teng Natthapong, a leader of the People's Party, following a defamation lawsuit filed against him by Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited. The court set the bail at 10,000 baht and imposed conditions to prevent any interference with the judicial process.
According to Thai News Agency, the bail request was submitted by Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut in response to a defamation lawsuit initiated by Gulf JP NS Co., Ltd. The court's decision included a warning against any actions that might disrupt the judicial proceedings. Failure to comply could lead to the revocation of bail.
Mr. Nithi La-iaddee, the lawyer representing Mr. Nattapong, mentioned that the court has scheduled a hearing for the defendant's testimony on February 16, 2026. After the hearing, Mr. Nattapong will be allowed to return home, as the bail conditions have already been fulfilled.
