According to Thai News Agency, two people have died and two have been injured in the collapse of a construction crane on the Rama 2 elevated highway. The last fatality has been identified as Mr. Sarawut, 41, the driver of the pickup truck, whose body has been sent to Samut Sakhon Hospital for autopsy. The Department of Highways is engaging experts to determine how to lower the crane from the pillars and is working to restore the road surface. Currently, Rama 2 Highway remains closed in both directions, though traffic can still flow on the parallel lanes. Motorists are advised to use Phetkasem Road and Ekachai Road as alternative routes.

Regarding the legal case, police have summoned several witnesses, including the injured and those who saw the incident, for questioning. They are also awaiting the results of forensic examinations from the police forensic science division and the engineering institute.
