Bangkok: Rescue efforts are underway to recover the wreckage of the fatal crane that fell onto the train; completion is expected tomorrow. Officials are preparing to cut the base of a construction crane for the high-speed railway project after debris fell on a train two days ago. The crane itself will then be lifted.

According to Thai News Agency, project executives declined to comment after the Prime Minister ordered the contract cancelled. Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased held a ceremony to invite the spirits of the victims according to their beliefs.
