Decharat Sukkamnerd Nominated for Nonthaburi PAO Chairmanship with “N-N-T” Vision

Nonthaburi: Decharat Sukkamnerd has been nominated for the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) chairmanship, presenting an ambitious "N-N-T" vision. The announcement was made by Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, who emphasized Decharat's readiness to lead Nonthaburi with a set of 20 policies under the slogan "N-N-T." The party is urging residents to vote in the upcoming election on September 20th.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattapong, alongside People's Party MPs from Nonthaburi, officially introduced Mr. Decharat Sukkamnerd as the party's candidate following the passing of former PAO President Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert. The party had worked closely with Yenprasert to address local issues and waited for the mourning period to end before registering their candidate. Mr. Nattapong highlighted that the party is prepared with 20 policies to present as options for the people of Nonthaburi, encouraging them to vote for a "New Nonthaburi."

Mr. Decharat expressed his excitement about the candidacy, stating it was a significant moment in his political career with the Move Forward Party. He outlined his two main motivations for running: his desire to implement previously written campaign policies and his deep connection to Nonthaburi as a lifelong resident. He identified pressing issues such as mental health, traditional agricultural challenges due to rising sea levels, and economic difficulties for SMEs, despite the province's status as the SME capital.

Decharat emphasized the continuation and enhancement of policies that have benefited Nonthaburi under Pol. Col. Thongchai's leadership. He aims to address new challenges and develop Nonthaburi into a unique and vibrant city. The "N-N-T" vision stands for livability, leadership, and inclusivity, focusing on improving the environment, supporting growth for residents, and ensuring participatory policy-making.

Mr. Decharat addressed rumors on social media about political maneuvering, clarifying that the People's Party is dedicated to Nonthaburi's growth without engaging in such tactics. He outlined a metaphor of "five bricks" representing transparency, attentiveness, participation, commitment, and creativity, aiming to foster a city where everyone can thrive.

Before concluding, Decharat thanked the People's Party MPs and Provincial Council members for their support and collaboration with the public. He expressed high hopes for the September 20th election as a pivotal moment for Nonthaburi's future.

Mr. Nattapong explained the candidate selection process, which was expedited due to unforeseen circumstances. He affirmed that Decharat was chosen for his knowledge, abilities, and local roots, resonating with the community's needs. He outlined the party's commitment to presenting policies that address local needs and reaffirmed confidence in their local team to develop Nonthaburi further.

Regarding the election outcome, Mr. Nattapong stated that the decision ultimately lies with the voters but expressed optimism about the People's Party's potential to enhance Nonthaburi's strengths and invest significantly in its development.
