Hat yai: Volunteer defense personnel from various provinces have entered the Hat Yai area, as revealed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. Defense Volunteers (DVS) have been dispatched to Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, to initiate a recovery operation aimed at assisting residents in relocating their belongings from flood-affected areas.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Assistant Commander of the Territorial Defense Volunteers, announced that the volunteers have arrived in Hat Yai District. These personnel, originating from various provincial command centers, are actively providing aid to residents by helping them move their possessions from buildings and homes impacted by the floods. The operation commenced on November 27, 2015, following the gradual receding of water levels in Hat Yai City.

The deployment of the volunteers is part of an initiative led by Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, General Anutin Charnvirakul. In his role as Commander of the Territorial Defense Volunteers, General Anutin has ordered the deployment of 2,000 Territorial Defense Volunteers to assist in the recovery efforts. The volunteers are expected to remain on duty until the flood situation shows significant improvement.
