Bangkok: Deputy Spokesperson, Ms. Lalida Periswiwattana, has facilitated the distribution of essential supplies to the southern region via a Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) aircraft. Despite the receding floodwaters, many residents are still in need of assistance. Minister Suchart has instructed ongoing support for those affected.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Periswiwattana acted on behalf of Bangkok citizens, delivering crucial items such as dried food, drinking water, diapers, bedding, and other daily necessities to help alleviate the continued suffering of those in the southern areas. Although the flood situation has improved, the urgency of aid remains high for numerous families.
The operation was made possible with the assistance of an MNRE aircraft. Director of the Digital and Aircraft Technology Center, Ms. Arisara Sittiyos, along with Mr. Sakol Thaiwutthiwong, Head of Flight Operations Planning, and their staff, ensured that the supplies were properly received and loaded o
nto the aircraft for distribution to the affected areas.
This relief effort is being conducted under the guidance of Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. He has directed all relevant agencies to continue their support efforts, which include land restoration, humanitarian aid, and the provision of additional relief supplies as necessary.
“Although the water has receded, the suffering of our fellow citizens is not over. We must continue to provide assistance until every family can return to normal life,” emphasized the deputy spokesperson.
