Phuket: The Director-General of the Provincial Administration confirmed that the leaked LINE message "Help Namngern" was not his. The Director-General of the Provincial Administration affirmed that he did not commit any wrongdoing as alleged by the former Phuket Provincial Governor in a lawsuit regarding an order to assist in official duties and leaked chat messages, stating that he acted according to regulations and that his superiors were aware of the actions.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narucha Khosasilvilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, addressed the case of Mr. Rungruang Thimabutr, former Deputy Governor of Phuket, who filed a lawsuit with the Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Region 8 for violating Section 157 regarding an allegedly unlawful order to assist him in official duties and the leaked Line chat message "Help Namngern." Regarding the leaked Line chat, Mr. Khosasilvilai confirmed that the messages were not his and did not correspond to the allegations.
Regarding the order to assist Mr. Rungruang in his duties, Mr. Narucha expressed confidence that he followed all procedures correctly, adding that he has reported this to his superiors, and none have raised any objections or indicated that he violated any regulations or laws.
Mr. Narucha further stated that, regarding Mr. Rungruang's lawsuit, he views it as a right if Mr. Rungruang believes he has not received justice, and he asks that everyone wait for the results of the Ministry of Interior's investigation to be released.
"In addition to being the Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, I am also a member of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO). From now on, any case that I consider to fall under the category of an AMLO offense, I will forward the matter to the AMLO to proceed according to their duties and powers," Mr. Narucha said.
