Dr. Warong Unveils Thai Phakdee Party’s Election Strategy Focusing on Anti-Corruption and Political Overhaul

Bangkok: Dr. Warong Dechgitvigrom, leader of the Thai Phakdee Party, announced his intention to lead the party into the 2026 general election, introducing 100 prospective candidates as part of an ambitious strategy to secure political influence in Bangkok and the South. He emphasized his commitment to combating corruption, proposing severe penalties for corrupt practices, and pledged to overhaul Thai politics and eliminate gray capital.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Warong, alongside Mr. Patiyut Thongprajong, the party’s secretary-general, unveiled the party’s flagship policy, “Reinventing Thailand with White Politics,” during a press conference. The party, which did not secure any MPs in the 2023 election, views that defeat as a learning opportunity. Dr. Warong insisted that the party has grown stronger and more prepared over the past two years, maintaining its ideals and acting as an opposition outside parliament.

Dr. Warong outlined the party’s strengths, focusing on genuine action and struggle against corruption. Key policies include an overhaul of the anti-corruption system, advocating the death penalty for politicians involved in corrupt activities exceeding 100 million baht, and reforms across various sectors such as the police force, security, and the economy. The party also plans to revamp the rice price system, ensure fair labor practices, and promote clean energy usage.

The Thai Phakdee Party plans to field 150-200 candidates, emphasizing their campaign strategy of truth and understanding. Dr. Warong highlighted the diverse expertise within the party, including former judges, police officers, businesspeople, and new-generation farmers, all aiming to reform policies and ensure a balanced economy and equitable justice system.

Dr. Warong expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, particularly in Bangkok and the South, and stated that the party is ready to participate in elections if parliament is dissolved. He stressed the importance of white politics, urging voters to reject gray capital and corruption, and to support candidates who will bring positive change.

Dr. Warong also commented on the possibility of parliament dissolution, speculating that Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul might dissolve parliament soon if opposition forces appear more prepared. He emphasized the need for voters to make informed decisions, suggesting that failure to change political dynamics would result in stagnation.

In conclusion, Dr. Warong reaffirmed the party’s commitment to justice and a better future, urging voters to support the Thai Phakdee Party’s vision for reinventing Thailand with white politics.
