The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, has a well-documented criminal history, having previously served a 20-year sentence for smuggling a large quantity of methamphetamine from Chiang Rai to Bangkok in 1997.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Teeradet Thamsuthee, Deputy Commander in charge of narcotics, led the investigation alongside officers from various narcotics suppression units. The investigation was initiated following the arrest of a flight attendant in Australia who had been found with narcotics.
Investigations revealed that the package containing drugs was delivered to Ms. Meena at a Bang Na condominium on June 22, 2026.
