Bangkok: A 90-day anti-drug operation in Bang Lamung raided South Pattaya, arresting 7 drug dealers and 20 users, and seizing crystal methamphetamine and amphetamine pills.

According to Thai News Agency, police officers from Pattaya City Police Station, along with related agencies, launched an operation under the "90-Day Anti-Drug Campaign" plan to continue cracking down on drug trafficking networks in the area. During yesterday's operation, officers searched three daily rental rooms. At the first location, near Wat Chai Mongkol intersection in South Pattaya, they arrested Mr. Prapas, or "Chai," a drug trafficking suspect, and seized 29.32 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 189 methamphetamine pills, and 2.44 grams of methamphetamine fragments. He was taken into custody along with the seized items for legal proceedings. Following this, officers expanded their investigation to search additional daily rental rooms in South Pattaya, specifically on Soi 3, a residential area for those involved in drug trafficking. They apprehended a total of 20 individuals who tested positive for drugs. These individuals will be sent for rehabilitation and legal proceedings.

In addition, six more small-scale drug dealers were arrested: Mr. Thavisak with 8.04 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 32 methamphetamine pills; Ms. Waraporn, or "May," with 3.90 grams of crystal methamphetamine; Mr. Chokchai with 1.60 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 9 methamphetamine pills; Mr. Pakphum with 22 methamphetamine pills; Ms. Chansri with 1.83 grams of crystal methamphetamine; and Mr. Athit, age 41, with 3 methamphetamine pills and 0.34 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

In summary, yesterday's operation resulted in the arrest of 7 drug dealers and 20 drug users. The suspects and seized evidence were then handed over to investigators at Pattaya City Police Station for legal proceedings. Further investigations will be conducted to track down and prosecute the remaining members of the drug trafficking network who are still at large.
