Nakhon Ratchasima: Good news has emerged from the Wang Nam Khiao Highway Police in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, where the police are cultivating their own vegetables not only for personal consumption but also to share with the public, allowing travelers to pick and enjoy fresh produce free of charge, thereby helping to reduce their living expenses.

According to Thai News Agency, the Wang Nam Khiao Highway Police Public Service Unit, located in Wang Nam Khiao District, provides a rest stop for travelers. This service unit offers amenities such as shower rooms, parking spaces, seating areas, and refreshments. In addition to these facilities, visitors can pick vegetables grown by the highway police themselves. This initiative has gained popularity among the public, who appreciate the opportunity to reduce their expenses.

Pol. Lt. Nukulkit Boonyen, Commander of Highway Police Station 1, Nakhon Ratchasima, Division 6, Highway Police Division, and Head of the Wang Nam Khiao Highway Police Public Service Unit, stated that any citizen passing by can stop to rest and pick free vegetables. The vegetables, which are fresh and free of chemicals, are cultivated by the officers as part of the Sufficiency Economy Project. This project aims to reduce living costs for both the police and the public by providing fresh produce without the need for hired labor. The vegetables are consumed within the unit and shared with nearby citizens and travelers to alleviate their financial burdens.
