Eastern Forces Release Video Amid Cambodian Complaints Over Loud Noises

Burapha: The Eastern Forces have released a video clip showing soldiers watching a documentary, aimed at clarifying the nature of activities at the border amidst recent Cambodian complaints about loud noises. The Burapha Force confirmed that the video was a documentary paired with a motivational song to aid in the relaxation of their soldiers.

According to Thai News Agency, the release of the video follows a surge of support and concern regarding the “Kan Jom Phalang” incident, where audio clips and documentaries were reportedly played at the border. The Burapha Force intended the films and rousing songs to bolster morale and provide relaxation for their personnel, countering claims that they were causing disturbances.

In a separate development, officers from the 4th Border Patrol Police Regiment have taken legal action against Cambodians who entered Thailand illegally. They have been detained and will face prosecution before deportation. This ongoing arrest of Cambodian workers highlights the severe famine in Cambodia. Reports indicate that 51 people were arrested on September 30th, followed by 57 on October 2nd. Among them, 44 were Cambodians, with 13 Thais allegedly deceived into working as call center employees. Another group of 37 was apprehended earlier today.

Meanwhile, National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panpetch conducted an inspection in Ban Nong Chan to assess the situation and review personnel readiness. He emphasized that while the police are prepared, they await orders under martial law to safeguard Thai territory and sovereignty. Negotiation remains key, but legal measures will be employed if necessary.

At the same time, an inspection by the Burapha Force at the Ban Nong Ya Kaew border reported no unusual activity in the morning. Nonetheless, officials remain vigilant, deploying forces along the Thai sovereignty line to ensure peace and order.

Additionally, the mine recovery operation, now in its fourth day, commenced this morning. No new mines have been found since the initial discovery of five mines over the past three days.

Following his mission in Nong Chan, the National Police Chief departed via helicopter to the city, where he is expected to meet with military security agencies. Observers are keen to see whether he will convene with the commander of the Burapha Force or the commander of the First Army.
