Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) has clarified its guidelines for the operation of political parties, focusing on building knowledge and understanding of the law. The initiative aims to ensure that all political parties conduct their activities correctly, transparently, and systematically.

According to Thai News Agency, the ECT held its second briefing session on the guidelines for political party operations. The session's primary objective was to foster understanding of operational guidelines, regulations, and legal aspects, including the proper use of subsidies from the Political Party Development Fund. Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, presided over the session organized by the Political Party Development Fund. He emphasized the importance of educating political parties about these guidelines to ensure compliance with the law.

Mr. Saeng highlighted that political parties serve as representatives of the people and are a crucial mechanism in the democratic process. By building an understanding of democratic governance and promoting political participation, the initiative aims to contribute to political development and the creation of informed citizens.
