Bangkok: Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, has voiced his support for a "digital fight against corruption" strategy during a special lecture at the Advanced Executive Program in Anti-Corruption Strategy. He emphasized the significant impact of corruption, noting that it affects not only government revenue but also the country's credibility with investors and global financial institutions.
According to Thai News Agency, the government is prepared to implement digital and data development strategies across all sectors to minimize corruption risks. This approach focuses on promoting competition, reducing monopolies, and utilizing data and technology to limit discretionary power. The government also aims to enhance oversight systems through increased data disclosure. Ekniti highlighted that combating corruption is a collective mission for the civil service system, focusing not only on punishment but also on building a transparent and accountable system for sustainable governance.
