According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas arrived to cast his vote in the referendum at 10:00 AM at the Agricultural Cooperative Federation of Thailand, polling station number 8, Lad Yao Subdistrict, Chatuchak District. His name was listed as number 80.
Mr. Ekniti checked his name on the voter list and cast his vote in the polling booth, taking less than 10 minutes. Afterward, he gave an interview to the media, stating that he wanted all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote as a way of expressing their democratic principles. He added that there is still time until the polls close at 5:00 PM.
Mr. Ekniti further stated that upon his arrival, he observed that election officials, volunteers, and police officers provided clear and complete explanations of the voting procedures, reflecting the helpfulness of the Thai people. He personally had prepared himself by studying the information and checking his eligibility beforehand.
Regarding the current election, Mr. Ekniti said he was pleased with the public's enthusiasm in exercising their right to vote. He noted that the crowds were not yet very large this morning and encouraged people to come out and vote gradually to avoid congestion closer to the closing time.
It has been reported that Mr. Ekniti will next take his family out for lunch, and after 5:00 PM, he will travel to the party headquarters.
