Ekparit Wu Triumphs at Queen’s Cup Thailand Championship 2026

Pathum thani: Ekparit Wu, a 26-year-old golfer from Rayong province, made history by winning the Queen's Cup Thailand Championship 2026. He became the first golfer to claim the prestigious royal trophy bestowed by Her Majesty Queen Sutida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. Wu finished the final round with a score of 4 under par, bringing his total to 23 under par and narrowly beating Atiwit Jenwattananon by 2 strokes. With this victory, Wu earned a prize of 2.1 million baht. The tournament, organized by the Professional Golf Association of Thailand, was held at Riverdale Golf Club in Pathum Thani province and featured a total prize pool of 15 million baht. According to Thai News Agency, Ekparit Wu maintained his lead from the start of the final round. Playing strategically, he added five birdies and recorded only one bogey before securing birdies on the last two holes to finish the day at 4 under par. Atiwit Jenwattananon, who finished in second place, accelerated his game to 5 under par but ultimately ended with a t otal score of 21 under par, unable to surpass Wu. Expressing his joy, Ekparit stated, "I am very delighted. This is the first Queen's Cup I've played in, and to win the championship and hold the royal trophy is a trophy that every Thai golfer dreams of owning. It is one of the most meaningful achievements of my life. I tried to play patiently, stay focused, and stick to my plan until the end." This triumph marks Wu's second Thailand PGA Tour title, following his previous win at Singha Park Khon Kaen in 2022. It also signifies a historic milestone as he becomes the inaugural champion of the Queen's Cup Thailand Championship to receive the trophy from Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.
