Bangkok: The Election Commission has officially confirmed and announced the election results for Ms. Ornuma Bunsiri, who has been elected as the Member of Parliament for Bueng Kan Province, Constituency 2. This decision follows an investigation which found no evidence of election fraud, allowing her to receive her certification starting tomorrow.
According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission’s announcement follows a by-election held on Sunday, March 30. The results were determined in compliance with Section 127 of the Organic Act on the Election of Members of the House of Representatives B.E. 2561 and its amendments, along with Section 215 of the Election Commission’s regulations on the election of members of the House of Representatives B.E. 2566.
Ms. Ornuma is eligible to receive her certificate of election as a Member of the House of Representatives for Bueng Kan Province, Constituency 2, starting April 9, 2025. She can collect the certificate between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Election Commission Office, located on the 5th floor. If she is unable to collect it in person, she must provide a power of attorney and certified copies of the ID cards for both the grantor and the authorized person on the specified day.
The announcement of the election results does not limit the Election Commission’s authority to investigate or make decisions if there arises any reasonable suspicion of misconduct or unfair practices during the election process.
