Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) is preparing to clarify reports about investigations into three cases of collusion in the Senate elections. The "Orange" and "iLaw" groups have indicated that these cases have not yet reached the current ECT and remain under investigation by the 26th subcommittee.

According to Thai News Agency, reporters have stated that the Central Investigation and Inquiry Committee, specifically Committee No. 26, has submitted three case files related to the election of Senate members to the Election Commission. The committee resolved to conduct further investigations due to insufficient evidence.

A fact-finding investigation from sources close to the current Election Commission revealed that all three case files are still with Sub-Committee No. 26 and have not yet been submitted for consideration by the current EC. Consequently, the EC has not issued any further orders contrary to what has been publicly reported. These files, initiated during Mr. Itthiporn Boonprakong's tenure as EC Chairman, were directed to be handled by Sub-Committee No. 26 and are still under investigation by the relevant committees.

The ECT is currently preparing a press release to clarify the details of the existing case files. However, due to the complexity and volume of details, the three cases in question involve: 1. Collusion in the selection of Senators by political parties and the "Orange" political group at the provincial level; 2. Collusion in the selection of Senators by political parties and the "Orange" political group at the national level; and 3. Collusion in the selection of independent Senators, commonly referred to as the "Orange Senator collusion."
