Bangkok: The Election Commission, in collaboration with the Central Registration Office, will be issuing national ID cards on February 7-8, 2026. This initiative will take place at all district and local registration offices from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aiming to facilitate eligible voters and referendum participants.

According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission of Thailand and the Central Registration Office of the Department of Provincial Administration have arranged this special measure to ensure eligible individuals can obtain their national ID cards. This effort is part of a broader strategy to support participation in upcoming elections and referendums.

Additionally, officials will be available to accept notifications from eligible voters who could not participate in the parliamentary elections or the referendum. These notifications can be submitted at any district or local registration office until February 15th, including during public holidays. Electronic submissions are also accepted via the Central Registration Office's website and the government or Smart Vote applications. It is highlighted that reporting a valid reason for not voting will prevent any restriction on voting rights for the next two years.
