Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) announced that the Senate collusion case is set to be resolved by the end of August, following the thorough review of the case files before scheduling a vote. According to Thai News Agency, the ECT has reviewed the case eight times, ensuring a comprehensive examination of all aspects while maintaining an independent and unbiased stance.

The Election Commission Office elaborated on the progress of the Senate collusion case, highlighting that the Commission has held eight meetings to deliberate on the matter. The Commission has rigorously examined the facts, evidence, and pertinent legal issues in line with their authorized legal procedures. Each session involved an exhaustive review of the case file, aiming for decisions rooted in complete facts and evidence, with a focus on accuracy, fairness, and the rights of all parties involved. The Commission assured that the detailed review of the case file would be completed by August 2026.

Post completion of the review, the Election Commission plans to convene a meeting to vote, adhering to its authority and the procedures mandated by law, before making the results public. The process was conducted independently, without guidance or interference from any individual or party, grounded solely in facts, evidence, and legal provisions.
