Nakhon Si Thammarat: The Election Commission organized a roadshow titled “No Buying Rights, No Selling Votes” to encourage residents of Nakhon Si Thammarat to participate in the by-election for a Member of Parliament (MP) in Constituency 8.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Witthaya Khiawrot, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, led the opening ceremony of the roadshow activity at the Chawang District Office. The event was attended by Mr. Wira Yiphrae, Deputy Secretary-General of the Election Commission, along with other executives from the Election Commission Office and network partners.
The roadshow aimed to raise awareness about the importance of electing members of the House of Representatives to fill vacant positions. It also sought to motivate people in the districts of Na Bon, Chang Klang, Chawang, and Pipun to exercise their right to vote for the MP for Constituency 8. The election is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event included a parade launching ceremony to inspire residents to exercise their voting rights under the motto ‘No buying rights, no selling votes.’ The campaign is part of a broader effort to promote democracy and ensure that elected representatives act on behalf of the people in parliament.
