Emergency Response Center Extends Compensation Deadline Amid Apology

Bangkok: The Emergency Response Center has issued an apology for the delay in disbursing compensation funds. The center has also announced an extension of the deadline to distribute these funds until December 31st.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister has received an additional 30 million baht in flood relief funds from the Chinese government for the affected regions in southern Thailand. The death toll in the area will be determined based on forthcoming autopsy results. The Center for the Emergency Situation Administration (CEA) issued a statement expressing regret over any difficulties faced in the compensation process and emphasized the extended deadline as a measure to ensure all eligible parties receive the necessary support.
