Sa kaeo: EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) teams have successfully retrieved explosive devices from the conflict zone between Nong Chan and Nong Ya Kaeo. This operation is aimed at ensuring the safety of the local communities affected by the ongoing tensions in the area.
According to Thai News Agency, EOD units from Provincial Police Region 2, in cooperation with the Burapha Task Force and the local administration of Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, have been actively inspecting and defusing explosive devices along the conflict line. The operation involves four teams deployed to Nong Chan village and one team to Nong Ya Kaeo village.
The Deputy Governor of Sa Kaeo Province reported that there are currently 11 EOD teams working to inspect and clear debris from residential areas as a priority. Over 70% of this crucial work has been completed, with expectations to finish by tomorrow afternoon. The authorities have announced that residents will be able to gradually return to their homes starting Wednesday, December 31st.
