EXAT Honors Local Schools at Youth Empowerment Awards Ceremony

Bangkok: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) held an awards ceremony for the Youth Empowerment by EXAT project. Today, Mr. Surachet Laopoonsuk, Governor of EXAT, presided over the ceremony at the EXAT Management Center Building. The event was attended by EXAT executives, teachers, and students from schools near the expressway. Attendees also explored an exhibition showcasing projects from 10 selected schools, which received scholarships totaling over 145,000 baht, along with trophies and certificates.

According to Thai News Agency, the project started in November 2025, with teachers and students from nearby schools tasked with creating projects to tackle social and environmental issues. These projects were submitted to EXAT for evaluation, and ten schools were chosen to advance. The selected schools received training to enhance their capabilities, and project committee members conducted on-site assessments, offering feedback to improve their reports.

The competition results were as follows: Yothinburana School won first prize, with Saint Dominic School and Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School, Samut Prakan, securing the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. Surasakmontri School and Maharnnoparam School claimed third runner-up spots, while honorable mentions were awarded to Rajpracha Samasai Secondary School, Don Bosco Technical College, Teepangkorn Wittayapat School, Phra Khanong Wittayalai School, and Makkasan Pittaya School.

The Youth Empowerment by EXAT project aims to foster the potential of youth in expressway-adjacent areas, offering a platform for creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving regarding social and environmental challenges. It seeks to build a cooperative network among educational institutions, communities, and EXAT, reinforcing EXAT's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. This initiative focuses on sustainable youth, community, and environmental development alongside infrastructure growth, contributing to a quality society and future sustainable growth.
