Bangkok: The book “Father Makes You Rich,” inspired by Mr. Boonchai Bencharongkul, conveys principles of sufficiency accessible to all Thai people.
According to Thai News Agency, “Father Makes You Rich” is a collection of real-world ideas and experiences from over 27 years of work dedicated to Thai farmers by Boonchai Bencharongkul. As the founder and advisor of the Ruam Duai Chuay Kan Saen Rak Ban Kerd Foundation, he promotes the “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy” with faith and determination. The book emphasizes being “rich with happiness, moderation, and sustainability” rather than monetary wealth.
In “Father Makes You Rich,” Mr. Boonchai shares his experience in building a network of farmers based on “self-reliance, sharing with others, and living together sustainably.” He provides examples of successful farmers nationwide who have embraced the Sufficiency Economy philosophy. Mr. Boonchai believes in the potential of farmers with hometown pride to achieve success and wealth through unity and aspiration.
Despite the challenge of printing over 60 million copies for every Thai citizen, the project has created an e-book version of “Father Makes You Rich” to be distributed to provincial agricultural offices nationwide. This ensures equal access to knowledge and inspiration across communities. The “Hometown-Loving Farmer Contest” project, ongoing for over 16 years, demonstrates that “sufficiency” is a powerful concept for Thai people. The book serves as an inspirational tool for steady and sustainable growth in every community, emphasizing that “richness” comes from “a heart that knows enough.” Inspired by “Boss Boonchai Bencharongkul,” the book encourages readers to rediscover the true value of happiness in life.
