Fire at Frozen Food Factory Under Control – No Injuries

Wang takhian: Fire at a frozen animal feed processing factory in Wang Takhian Subdistrict, Mueang Chachoengsao District, has been contained. No injuries or deaths were reported.

According to Thai News Agency, a fire broke out at noon yesterday at the factory. Officials deployed over 10 fire trucks to the scene, which was a tall, closely-knit warehouse. Heavy smoke was seen pouring from the back of the facility. Firefighters sprayed water to extinguish the blaze, but strong winds fanned the flames, causing parts of the warehouse’s roof to collapse. It took officials more than two hours to bring the blaze under control.

Factory workers reported that while working in front of a large cooking stove behind the building, they opened the gas valve to light the stove as usual. However, upon opening the valve, fire erupted from the line and quickly spread. Workers attempted to close the valve but were unable to do so due to the rapid spread of the flames, forcing them to evacuate the building. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities occurred, although some individuals experienced smoke inhalation.

Initially, officials are spraying water around the building and are awaiting forensic officials to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
