A fire broke out in the Bang Prong community in Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province, late last night. The scene of the fire was a series of wooden houses built next to each other. The fire was raging violently. Six fire engines from Bang Prong Municipality and nearby municipalities had to be mobilized to control the fire. However, because the scene of the fire was in a narrow alley, it was difficult for the fire engines to enter. In addition, there was a strong wind at the time of the fire and the houses were old wooden houses that were good fuel. It took officers almost an hour to control the fire. Initial investigations show that the fire damaged about 10 houses and found 2 dead people in the fire, one adult and one young girl, a grandmother and granddaughter. The girl's body was found hugging her grandmother's leg. There is also an 8-year-old child missing. As for the cause of the fire, we will have to wait for forensic officers to go to the area to inspect the scene again this morning. Source: Thai News Agency
