Bangkok: The Emergency Operations Center has reported a significant loss of life due to recent flooding in eight southern provinces of Thailand. The current death toll stands at 162, with Songkhla province experiencing the highest number of fatalities at 126.

According to Thai News Agency, the spokesman for the Flood Emergency Operations Center, Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, provided an update on the situation as of 8:00 a.m. The affected provinces include Nakhon Si Thammarat with 9 fatalities, Phatthalung with 4, Songkhla with 126, Trang with 2, Satun with 5, Pattani with 7, Yala with 5, and Narathiwat with 4.
