Bangkok: The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has commenced the distribution of aid funds to flood victims affected during the 2025 rainy season. This initial allocation targets nearly 70,000 households across 12 provinces.
According to Thai News Agency, the DDPM is initiating the first phase of disbursement today, aimed at providing relief to flood-impacted regions. The aid distribution covers 12 provinces, reaching approximately 68,094 households with a total disbursement of 612,846,000 baht. A subsequent round of payments is scheduled for November 4, 2025, benefiting an additional 12,702 households in two more provinces, with a total allocation of 114,318,000 baht.
On October 21, 2025, the Cabinet sanctioned the procedures for disbursing flood relief, aiming to assist 685,554 households in 65 provinces. The approved budget framework stands at 6,169.986 million baht, set at a flat rate of 9,000 baht per household. The DDPM is collaborating with local provinces to ensure accurate verification of victim data, facilitating swift assistance to affected individuals.
The DDPM noted that a total of 265,238 households registered for relief during the 2025 rainy season. Transfers have been made to 84,268 households through the Provincial Disaster Relief Committee and to 80,796 households via the Government Savings Bank, totaling 727,164,000 baht.
Today’s disbursement includes funds for Pathum Thani, Chainat, Chanthaburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Trat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Loei, Phichit, Phetchabun, Samut Prakan, and Sa Kaeo provinces. The forthcoming transfer on November 4 will focus on Phichit and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya provinces.
