Football Player Falsely Implicated by AI-Manipulated Gambling Website

Chachoengsao: “Tae” Warakorn Changkhiandee, a football player for Mon Thong Wittaya School in Chachoengsao Province, has filed a police report following an incident where a gambling website used AI technology to impersonate him. The manipulated content aimed to fraudulently invite people to partake in gambling activities.

According to Thai News Agency, Warakorn “Tae” Changkhiandee took immediate action by reporting the incident to the Bang Nam Priao Police Station. The young athlete sought to clear his name after learning from school staff that his image and voice were used in a manipulated video. The video, which appeared to be an interview on a TV channel, falsely depicted him endorsing an online gambling platform. Warakorn has firmly denied any involvement with online gambling and stated that he has never promoted such activities.

In a related development, Sakol Kliangprasert, the head coach at Monthong Wittaya School, shared news about a new acquisition for the school. The institution has purchased a six-wheeled truck for 550,000 baht, made possible through the generous contributions of parents and supporters. The truck, described as a second-hand vehicle, will feature a sticker reading “Youth’s Favorite Car.” The older vehicle will be refurbished and preserved as a memento, with plans to display it at the school’s football field. Additionally, Coach Sakol intends to organize a charity football match to support flood victims in Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
