Tehran: Delegations from multiple countries attended the farewell ceremony for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran. Iran's ruling religious authorities are preparing for a multi-day funeral ceremony, aimed at demonstrating the people's loyalty and symbolizing the enduring revolutionary spirit of the country.

According to Thai News Agency, Iran's former Supreme Leader died in an attack by the United States and Israel, marking the first offensive in the conflict. The funerals are set to commence over the weekend in Tehran, followed by large processions in Qom and Mashhad, and commemorative ceremonies in Iraq.

On Saturday, July 4, Khamenei's body will be moved to a mosque in Tehran, marking the first stop of the national funeral rites. The bodies of his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, who also perished in the attack, will be placed alongside his.

Following a grand procession in central Tehran on Monday, July 6, the body of the former Supreme Leader will be moved to Qom, a center of Shia religious institutions and governance in Iran, for further ceremonies on Tuesday, July 7.

Memorial ceremonies will then be held in the holy cities of Iraq, Najaf, and Karbala, on Wednesday, July 8, with many prominent figures from the Shiite militant networks representing Iran in the region expected to attend. Finally, his body will be buried on Thursday, July 9, after another procession in Mashhad, near the tomb of Imam Reza, a revered figure in Iran.
