Tak bai: Four suspects have been detained for questioning in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Tak Bai. The Forward Command of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 has instructed all parties to expedite the pursuit of those responsible for the attack at Tak Bai Police Station. It has been revealed that four police officers are still receiving treatment at the hospital for their injuries.

According to Thai News Agency, the Forward Command of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 reported that two police officers from Tak Bai Police Station were killed and four were injured in the shooting. Authorities have cordoned off the area, are conducting forensic investigations, collecting evidence, and are actively pursuing the perpetrators. They are also expanding their investigation based on evidence and related information to ensure decisive legal action is taken.

Authorities have detained four suspects found in the vicinity of the incident for questioning and investigation. They are: Mr. Mahadi, 51, and Mr. Muhammad Samza, 37, who were taken to the interrogation center of the Marine Corps Task Force, Royal Thai Navy; Mr. Sobri, 47, and Mr. Abdul Hakim, 22, who were taken to the interrogation center of the 46th Ranger Regiment Task Force. All detainees retain their legal rights and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The four injured police officers remain under close medical supervision. They are: Police Sergeant Tritat Kulsanthawashiri, with a gunshot wound to the head, in critical condition, being treated at Narathiwat Ratchanakarin Hospital; Police Corporal Wannuchit Saekho, with gunshot wounds to both legs, in critical condition, being treated at Songkhla Nakarin Hospital; Police Lieutenant Kittipong Srikhum, with a gunshot graze wound to the left side of his torso, being treated at Tak Bai Hospital; and Police Corporal Pannakit Srinakitja, with injuries to his torso, also being treated at Tak Bai Hospital.
