Chonburi: A gang of teenagers in Chonburi brazenly stormed a pool villa, armed with a gun and knives, shooting a rival before slashing him in the head, leaving him bleeding profusely.
According to Thai News Agency, at 6:39 AM on August 14th, a group of about nine teenagers arrived at the door of a house and knocked. Two women inside opened the door. The teenagers gradually entered the house, shouting and causing a disturbance. A video recorded by a resident inside the house shows a man wearing a full-face helmet holding an unknown caliber firearm before a gunshot rings out into a group of teenagers. Those inside the house scream in shock. The injured man is then dragged out of a room before another man, wearing a red collared shirt, attacks him with a knife, striking him in the head. The victim cries out in pain and bleeds.
Mr. Bas, 19, the injured party, met with investigators at Nong Prue Police Station, Chonburi Province, to file a complaint against the group of teenagers. He explained that his younger sibling had a problem with the opposing group who wanted to join a drinking party at his house but were not allowed. This led to an argument and a challenge, before a fight broke out. In the morning, the group of teenagers returned to the house armed with knives and a gun, shouting for "Fatty" and demanding to know him. Mr. Bas, who was sleeping in his room, was dragged out and attacked with a knife, sustaining a head injury requiring several stitches.
The victim stated that they only knew the group called themselves "Baan Dek Due" (House of Naughty Children). After the incident, an older member of the opposing group contacted them, claiming that the use of the firearm was merely a warning shot, and asked for the matter to be dropped. They also offered to help with medical expenses amounting to 40,000 baht. The victim waited approximately three days before deciding to file a police report.
Investigators and the investigative team at Nong Prue Police Station have received the report and are preparing to investigate. They are getting ready to go to the area to track down the group of teenagers accused, as well as examine CCTV footage, video clips, evidence of damage, and other relevant evidence to proceed with legal action.
Reporters visited the scene to inspect the large pool villa. The caretaker showed them the damage inside the house, where they found a large hole, believed to be from a bullet, near the entrance to a guest room. Photographs of the damage have been sent to the owner for verification, but the owner has not yet filed a police report, pending an investigation into the facts and extent of the damage.
