Bangkok: General Prawit Wongsuwan, former Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Palang Pracharath Party, opened his residence at Ban Pa Roi Tor to host a traditional Songkran water-pouring ceremony, inviting blessings during the Thai New Year.
According to Thai News Agency, the event saw the participation of classmates from the Class 6 of the Royal Thai Army Academy, along with esteemed military and business figures. Notable attendees included General Anupong Paochinda, former Minister of Interior, and General Boonsong Niampradit, former Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, among others. The ceremony was a gathering of respected figures who came together to uphold the customs of the Songkran Festival.
During the event, General Prawit extended his wishes for happiness and prosperity to the Thai people, emphasizing the importance of a safe journey for those traveling during the festival. He also mentioned his transition from politics to becoming a food critic, highlighting his influence in boosting the popularity of certain restaurants through his social media presence.
General Prawit further shared his personal health regime, revealing that he maintains good health by eating only one meal a day, specifically at lunchtime.
