Bangkok: "Big Dul" (General Prawit Wongsuwan) has brushed off the accusation from a Pheu Thai MP labeling him a "demon minister," describing it as an expression of immature behavior and a reflection of current movie trends.

According to Thai News Agency, the accusation was linked to the ongoing frigate procurement process, with General Prawit emphasizing his commitment to integrity. He dismissed any claims of corruption and stated that there would be no changes to the Terms of Reference (TOR) or NATO standards until the Royal Thai Navy selects the appropriate company for the procurement.

Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, the Minister of Defence, addressed rumors concerning a possible lawsuit against MP Ekkarach Udomnuay of the People's Party. Udomnuay accused General Prawit of being a "demon minister" during a debate on the 2027 budget bill. He characterized the allegation as unimportant and driven by cinematic influences. Udomnuay claimed the accusation pertained to changes in the TOR, but assured that a committee supervised the drafting process thoroughly. He advised waiting for the announcement of the winning bidder before considering any changes to the TOR, NATO standards, or basic weapon systems.

Lieutenant General Adul also commented, "If we acquire one ship and it cannot operate jointly with the existing armed forces or warships, including other exercises, frankly, I'm not that bad," reinforcing his stance on the matter.
