Bangkok: General Prayut Chan-o-cha, the former Prime Minister and current Privy Councillor, exercised his right to vote at polling station number 11 in the Phaya Thai district early this morning. General Prayut expressed his satisfaction with participating in both the general election and the referendum, emphasizing his hope that the newly elected government would serve a full four-year term.
According to Thai News Agency, General Prayut arrived at the polling station at 8:57 AM. Upon arrival, he completed the necessary documentation checks before proceeding to cast his vote. After voting, General Prayut spoke to reporters about his feelings regarding the electoral process. He stated, "I am happy to have come out and exercised my right to vote today. Please help take care of the election."
General Prayut was also questioned about his expectations for the election outcome, particularly regarding the potential for a stable government. He responded, "That's what it has to be like; otherwise, what's the point of having an election?"
Following the interview, General Prayut promptly departed the polling station in a black Alphard van.
