Bangkok: General Wichian has instructed his lawyer to sue a popular Facebook page after a photo of him was posted in a group of consultants for negotiations on overlapping areas. He stated that despite apologizing and deleting the photo, it has affected both his personal life and the military. He emphasized that he has always been a behind-the-scenes supporter and has been concerned for the country and has provided continuous assistance and care to the military.
According to Thai News Agency, Nattapol Thongkham, a lawyer assigned by General Wit Thephasadin Na Ayudhya, revealed that the CSI LA page had posted accusations of a transnational scam network using the caption, “Let the picture tell the story. The three-member Thai board is a bridge connecting politics and finance across borders, BIC Group of Cambodia.” Although General Wit’s name was not listed on the page, the page included a photo with the caption, “Introducing the team of strategists negotiating the Thai-Cambodian overlapping area,” leading the public to misunderstand that General Wit was involved in the process. Although the page has since removed the photo, it has been publicly released and has sparked public criticism. Therefore, to protect rights, we reserve the right to pursue legal action against those involved.
“I would like to confirm that General Wich has no involvement in this process. General Wich Thephasadin Na Ayudhya has been a military officer who cares deeply for his nation. Regarding the Thai-Cambodian conflict, General Wich has been deeply concerned and has been behind the provision of military facilities and necessities, such as body armor, radios, food, vehicles, and all necessary equipment requested by military units. He has also had his team build roads and bunkers, supporting the protection of national sovereignty. He is a Thai person who loves and cares for his country, just like other Thais. He has done many social services behind the scenes, never boasting. He does good deeds without expecting anything in return. However, this time, he must stand up for his rights due to a misunderstanding he did not create,” said Mr. Nattapol.
Mr. Nattapol also urged page owners to carefully review, consider, and respect each other’s rights before posting or uploading any images, in order to benefit Thai society and ensure accurate information.
