Bangkok: GH Bank has announced a new real estate promotion offering low-interest home loans at an annual rate of 1.50%, along with repair and decoration loans starting at 1.00%, and high-interest deposits at 1.75%.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kamolpop Virapala, President of the Government Housing Bank (GHB), stated that the bank aims to support the Thai economy by hosting the ‘Online Financial Fair: Welfare Marketing Beyond 2025.’ This event will be live-streamed on the Government Housing Bank Facebook Fanpage on June 11, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The initiative is designed to create more opportunities for Thai citizens to own homes, offering special promotions for both loans and deposits.
The bank’s offerings include the ‘Welfare Marketing Beyond 2025 loan,’ featuring a special fixed interest rate of 1.50% per annum for the first five months for customers who purchase life insurance for loan protection. Interested parties can reserve their rights during the event from June 11 – 14, 2025, apply from June 11, and complete transactions by July 31, 2025. Additionally, the first seven customers with the highest transaction amounts will receive a complimentary tower fan.
For existing customers, the ‘Repair – Decorate Loan and Repair – Decorate Plus Loan’ provides up to 300,000 baht per person. The first 100,000 baht has an interest rate of 1.00% per year for the first three years, while the remaining 200,000 baht has rates of 1.99% for years 1-3 and 3.50% for years 4-5. Applications can be submitted immediately, with those reserving rights during the event receiving an eco-friendly bag upon transaction completion by June 30, 2025.
The GHB Welfare Savings account offers an interest rate of 1.75% per year with monthly interest payments. Customers opening accounts and depositing specified amounts between June 11-30, 2025, will receive promotional gifts such as a GH Bank water bottle or a 3-section folding umbrella.
The event will also feature talks with special guests like Mr. Pete Kantaporn Hanphanit and HR representatives discussing home loan welfare benefits. Lucky participants can win prizes like air purifiers, gas cards, and gift cards.
Mr. Kamolpop emphasized the importance of digital channels in meeting customer needs, aligning with government policies to enhance access to funding sources, particularly in the housing sector, to stimulate sustainable economic growth.
