Phetchaburi: GHB creates social opportunities by repairing the Naresuan Border Patrol Police School in Ban Huai Sok. The Government Housing Bank (GHB) is taking significant steps to improve the quality of life for children and youth in remote areas by enhancing educational facilities and infrastructure. This initiative is part of their broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at reducing inequality and fostering stable infrastructure under the concept of "GHB Builds Homes, Creates Jobs, Towards Sustainable Communities."
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Mahatthana Ampornphisit, Managing Director of GHB, emphasized the bank's commitment to making homeownership possible for over 4.8 million Thai families over the past 72 years. Alongside this mission, GHB has remained dedicated to its CSR policy, which focuses on providing access to education and secure housing for children and youth in remote areas. This initiative seeks to diminish social inequality and promote sustainable growth within grassroots communities. On June 12th, GHB participated in a project to enhance the educational environment at the Border Patrol Police School Naresuan Ban Huai Sok in Kaeng Krachan District, Phetchaburi Province, by repainting school buildings and repairing roofs.
Since 2007, GHB has consistently supported Border Patrol Police schools, contributing to the construction and renovation of over 42 school buildings and more than 215 residences for students. This ongoing effort has improved the quality of life for over 10,000 children and youth, providing them with a conducive learning environment and safe living conditions. Looking ahead to 2026, GHB plans to support the construction or renovation of five additional school buildings and homes for Border Patrol Police students, incorporating solar-powered lighting to reduce electricity costs. The initiative also includes providing essential supplies to 20 families, aiming for sustainable improvements in their well-being.
