Bangkok: The Government Housing Bank (GHB) has officially launched the "Thongkwao Mangmee 2" savings lottery, offering customers a unique opportunity to secure their savings while also having the chance to win attractive prizes. The new series promises to deliver "value, security, and the option to choose your own category for increased chances of winning," with a winning lottery prize guaranteed for every 100,000 baht saved.
According to Thai News Agency, GHB is capitalizing on the previous success of its "Thongkwao Mangmee" savings lottery, which sold out its entire allocation. The bank is now introducing Phase 2 with a substantial allocation of 20 billion baht, encouraging Thai citizens to take advantage of this lucrative savings option. Each lottery unit is priced at 1,000 baht, offering a stated annual return of 0.30% and the possibility to win significant prizes.
Participants in the "Thongkwao Mangmee 2" lottery have the chance to win a prize worth 3 million baht every month across 12 installments. A 100,000 baht investment guarantees a win for the last two digits in every draw. Interested buyers can purchase tickets from May 26, 2026, via the GHB ALL GEN application and at all bank branches nationwide.
Dr. Mahatthana Ampornphisit, Managing Director of GHB, highlighted the enthusiastic response from customers to the initial savings lottery, prompting the bank to offer more options that combine security with the potential for worthwhile returns. Special provisions allow customers to choose their preferred lottery category, thereby increasing their chances of winning prizes.
The "Thongkwao Mangmee 2" series is structured with a budget of 20 billion baht, with each unit priced at 1,000 baht and a one-year maturity. The lottery ticket offers an annual interest rate of 0.30%, with monthly draws over 12 months. The first prize is valued at up to 3 million baht. Additional prizes include two consolation prizes of 50,000 baht each, ten second prizes of 10,000 baht per category, 20,000 three-digit ending number prizes of 100 baht each, and 200,000 two-digit ending number prizes of 50 baht each. A 100,000 baht ticket guarantees a two-digit ending number prize in every draw.
Dr. Mahatthana emphasized the suitability of GHB savings bonds as a stable investment option amid volatile economic conditions. The savings not only remain secure with guaranteed returns upon maturity but also offer the potential to win substantial monthly prizes, making them an excellent choice for those seeking financial security.
