Phuket: A reporter captured images of a "giant pig" peacefully sleeping in the sea breeze at Nui Beach during a visit to cover the beach demolition operation. According to Thai News Agency, during the chaotic demolition work, the news team spotted the giant pig resting. It appeared undisturbed by its surroundings and seemed to weigh around 200 kilograms.
When approached by the news team, the pig woke, walked around, and then returned to its original spot. The reporter attempted to interact by asking questions about its stay and future plans post-demolition, but the pig did not respond and resumed its nap.
Nui Beach, located in the Karon Subdistrict of Mueang District, Phuket Province, is undergoing changes. The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment has reclaimed it as state property. Plans are underway to develop the area into a recreational forest, accessible without entrance fees, within a month.
Future visitors are encouraged to keep an eye out for the giant pig, as it is known to be friendly and may pose for photos.
