Go-Kart Engine of “Nong Payu” Found in Violation of Regulations

Bangkok:The Royal Thai Automobile Association (RTAA) announced that an inspection of the go-kart engine belonging to "Nong Payu" revealed that the cylinder block violated racing regulations.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand (RAAT) conducted this inspection following a protest by "Por Tanuphat," who requested an investigation into the go-kart's engine. The RAAT reported that the engine's cylinder block did not comply with the required specifications for the racing class, which mandates identical engine specifications for all vehicles.

Mr. Pruttirat Rattanagul Serirengrit, the President of the RAAT, affirmed the findings of the engine inspection. Despite confirming the non-compliance, the RAAT refrained from commenting on whether the modifications enhanced the engine's power compared to others. The RAAT emphasized that the final decision regarding race outcomes is the responsibility of the organizers, and competitors have the right to appeal through established procedures.
