Gold Handbag Bought for 300 Baht Turns Out to Be Worth Over a Million

Bangkok: A remarkable find has left a lucky shopper in awe after purchasing a gold-colored handbag for just 300 baht at a Japanese second-hand warehouse, only to discover its true value was far beyond the initial cost.

According to Thai News Agency, the buyer's visit to Wit Ladkrabang Gold Shop revealed that the handbag contained 74.7% pure gold. The gold buying shop, which has been operational for 3-4 years, shared this incredible story through a video clip. The clip showed the customer presenting the handbag, which surprisingly bore an 18K symbol on its edge. Upon thorough inspection and testing, it was confirmed that the bag was indeed gold, leading to a melting process that extracted gold worth a stunning 1.2 million baht.

The gold shop owner demonstrated the melting process, which took approximately 7 minutes, to reveal the true value of the handbag. It is believed that the bag was unbranded and possibly a custom-made piece. The customer not only walked away with the significant profit from the handbag but also brought in another piece of gold purchased for 100 baht, adding to their fortunate streak.
