Mukdahan:Villagers in Kham Ahuan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mukdahan Province, gathered to see a golden catfish that was discovered by a local homeowner in a stream. The homeowner believes the fish could bring good luck.

According to Thai News Agency, the homeowner, Mr. Chalad Sriwicha, 52, found the unusually colored catfish while fishing. Initially dismissive of its color, he noticed its golden hue upon shining a light on it. The fish was tame, allowing him to catch it easily with his bare hands. Mr. Sriwicha decided to bring the catfish home, considering it an auspicious sign.

Villagers, intrigued by the unique sight, speculated about the fish's symbolism, associating it with luck and prosperity. Despite interest from potential buyers, Mr. Sriwicha expressed no intention to sell the fish yet, preferring to keep and care for it. The community has been fascinated by the rare find, interpreting its appearance as a sign of good fortune and positive events to come.
