Government Housing Bank Launches “One Home Per Person PLUS” Loan Project

Manila:The Government Housing Bank (GHB) is advancing its "One Home Per Person PLUS" loan project, which is designed to increase housing accessibility for Thai citizens. This initiative is backed by a Cabinet resolution that allocates 50 billion baht, aiming to enhance housing opportunities under favorable conditions while promoting growth in the real estate sector.

According to Thai News Agency, the project offers a low interest rate beginning at 2.60% per year for the first two years, with a maximum loan term of 40 years. Monthly payments start at 3,600 baht per million baht borrowed. This financial arrangement is specifically tailored to assist low- and middle-income earners in managing their housing expenses more effectively. The program also seeks to invigorate the real estate market and contribute to economic growth.

Dr. Mahatthana Ampornphisit, Managing Director of GHB, highlighted that the project will cater to individuals looking to purchase or construct homes, acquire land for building, or obtain housing-related amenities. For loans up to 3 million baht, interest rates start at 2.80% per year for the first two years, with subsequent increases over time. The loan program is divided between customers eligible for income and cost of living relief, with a 40 billion baht cap, and those in the normal income bracket, with a 10 billion baht cap.

The project, which will run from October 15, 2026, to December 30, 2030, or until the loan limit is reached, is part of GHB's strategy to evolve beyond just lending. It aims to become a reliable partner in housing, supporting Thai citizens in achieving secure and sustainable homeownership. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply at any GHB branch nationwide or reach out to the GH Bank Call Center for more information.
