The Ministry, in collaboration with relevant agencies, is working to maintain the safety of tourists and uphold Thailand's tourism image.
Between February 28 and March 10, 2026, the Ministry's proactive measures have facilitated and contacted a total of 4,525 affected foreign tourists through three main channels. Tourist Assistance Centers (TACs) located at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Krabi airports have assisted 2,833 tourists. Immediate issues are being addressed urgently through coordination with agencies such as embassies, the Immigration Bureau, and airlines to resolve problems swiftly. Furthermore, the Ministry is fostering integration and cooperation with government and private sector agencies to ensure efficient operations across all dimensions.
'The government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, confirms that Thailand is ready and capable of ensuring the safety of all tourists. We are also elevating our crisis management standards to build confidence and create a positive impression for tourists from around the world throughout their travels and stays in Thailand. Officials have been instructed to continuously monitor the situation to ensure close attention and care for tourists,' Ms. Airin stated.
