Government Savings Bank Provides 5 Million Baht to Support Border Soldiers

Bangkok: Government Savings Bank (GSB) has donated 5 million baht to support soldiers stationed at the Thai-Cambodian border.

According to Thai News Agency, the donation was presented by Mr. Songpol Cheevapanyaroj, Director of GSB, to General Chisanupong Rodsiri, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army. This financial aid is aimed at compensating military personnel who have been injured, disabled, or killed while fulfilling their duties to protect national sovereignty. Furthermore, the donation will fund educational scholarships for the soldiers' children and facilitate vocational training to help their families generate income.

The presentation of this donation occurred at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters. GSB has shown a consistent commitment to the welfare of military personnel and their families, recognizing their sacrifices for the nation. The bank has implemented various support measures, including debt forgiveness and loan closure for the families or heirs of deceased soldiers. Additionally, vocational training initiatives are offered to alleviate financial burdens and improve long-term financial stability for these families.
